NIKE WARDOUR MAX 1 TXT (STADIUM GREEN)
Nike and their ACG gang are long time masters of marrying hiking and street, so it’s no surprise that the Nike Wardour Max 1 TXT strikes a harmonious balance of exactly that. This release features a Stadium Green nubuck and ripstop chukka-style hiking upper planted firmly on what’s arguably Nike’s most iconic sole. ‘TASSIE DEVIL’ SNEAKER FREAKER x NEW BALANCE 998
As part of our marathon 10 year anniversary celebrations, we have jumped back into the cage with New Balance to produce the tough Tassie Devil, a sabre-toothed version of the under-appreciated 998 model.
As Yoda would say, ‘Theme, there is no theme!’ Indeed, our self-imposed brief was simply to knock-up a beastly colourway and smash it out of Hobart. If you don’t like purple, you’ll pass. We’ve got eggplant, violet, mauve, lilac, lavender and another un-nameable shade that looks like three-day-old chewing gum but slots perfectly into the mix, delivering total synchronicity. For a little extra vim and vigor, we added some triangular fangs to the forefoot, and they ride proudly within a lovely bone midsole with just a hint of peppery speckle. The Wolverine suede is top-notch, the shape of the toe is oh-so right and there’s a little extra stuffing in the tongue for mad comfort.
Proudly named after our native Australian marsupial the Tasmanian Devil (and with a respectful nod to the Solebox series of NB Devils), it’s a sad fact that the chunky little carnivorous critters are suffering from an epidemic of facial tumour disease that threatens their existence. Some estimates suggest up to 50% of the wild population has perished. To that end, we will be making a healthy donation to the campaign to save these unique animals.

The Japanese textile designers from nowartt supply fabric to a variety of brands throughout the region and for their Fall/Winter 2012 Bag Collection, master-piece takes advantage of their long-standing relationship to offer a pair of tropically-themed daypacks. Vans OTW x Primitive Blvd Denim Bedford
For the second time Vans and the Paul Rodriguez owned brand Primitive Apparel team up, this time under the Vans OTW brand. Together they give us a first look at the Blvd Denim Bedford. “Mainly constructed of black suede & denim, accents like tortoise leather, reverse denim & copper detailing offer just the right amount of sophistication.” The sneakers will release at Primitive on September 1st, 2012.
Supra Falcon 2012
Today we can give you an exclusive first look at the upcoming Supra Falcon sneaker in a clean all white colorway. Since the Skytop, Supra has grown into a rather big footwear brand, yet they have not really surprised us anymore with their design. The Falcon on the other hand, is certainly yet another bold move in footwear design.
While the first half of the sneaker is rather “normal”, the second part is very unique and bold. Thick padding all around, and in general a unique take on sneaker design, make the Falcon more of a fashion than a skate sneaker. Entirely made from premium full-grain vegetable dyed leather and lined with ultra suede, Supra emphasizes the direction that they want to take with the shoe. We have to admit though, parts of the shoe remind us of a silhouette from the Louis Vuitton x Kanye West sneaker collection from a couple of years ago.
Look out for a release of the Supra Falcon in black, white and caramel colorways, some time next month.
‘GOLDENBALLS’ SNEAKER FREAKER x SUPRA SKYTOP III COLAB
Ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to announce that our GOLDENBALLS have just dropped!
If you thought our Bushwhackers were the nads, then you’ll need to go nuts-out to fondle our latest and greatest colab. Released as part of the Sneaker Freaker tenth anniversary celebrations, we put our hanging brain to work and came up with this luscious interpretation of the Supra Skytop III. Resplendent in our own custom ‘goldenball’ suede, the low-hanging upper perches pretty on a crunchy concrete speckled midsole. Topped with waxy string laces, black side-fins, a commemorative ten-year insole plus some pink bits for extra purchase on your plums, these GOLDENBALLS are mighty juicy and damn hard to lick.
Here’s the bad news. Just a few dozen hairy pairs of the GOLDENBALLS are available to guests at the Supra x Sneaker Freaker soirée in Berlin tonight. Yep, this is one of those freaking annoying party-only giveaways that you’ll probably never see in real life and will go ‘straight to the ballroom’.
Hang on just a wrinkly walnut… there’s a ray of hope for you yet! We have kept one pair of these nuggets to give away to our audience next week. That means you. Stand by for details!

Nike SB Koston 1 Heritage (Koston x Air Max 90)
More looks at the upcoming Eric Koston x Air Max 90 hybrid, the Nike SB Koston 1 Heritage. The shoe sports the general silhouette and technology of the Koston 1, but the upper features stitching and rubber piecing that emulates the classic Air Max 90 look. Expect these on shelves this winter, with new colorways running through the beginning of 2013.
Tinie Tempah x Nike Blazer “Disturbing London”
UK rapper Tinie Tempah is blowing up his Disturbing London clothing label in the best way possible, through a high-profile collaboration with Nike on a special edition Blazer. So special, in fact, that it’s not available in stores. 60 pairs were given away to fans through a special scavenger hunt around London, with 10 pairs available in six secret locations and clues given out by Tinie Tempah and Nike UK on Twitter. As for the shoe itself, the design features a red suede upper with white leather Swoosh and tan leather tongue. Disturbing London branding appears at the tongue, heel and interior. Meze Ebony Headphones
With these Meze headphones, we are not talking ebony as in the little black keys on a piano. Rather, the ear cups on these luxe-looking devices are made from the dark, chocolaty ebony tree native to tropic regions. Touted as audiophile quality, they certainly look to be in the upper echelon of the headphones pantheon.
Prices on the three available models range from $140 to $290, which seems reasonable considering the varnished fanciness they present to the world. Plus, each model has something to recommend it aside from the “natural sound” afforded by the wooden housing (the 55 model is foldable, while the 88s feature suspension backed head mounts). We also like the way the cord plugs directly into the headphones and can be stored separately. Is it tacky to wish that the cord had a little mic for cell phone calls?

After the runaway success of the Dave White ‘Wings For The Future’ 1s, Jordan Brand are out to raise money for the fund once again with a crazy new colab. Teaming with Undertow Design, the new pack celebrates the collective’s new Hit Rewindies sport-themed art show in Portland with a retro-styled Jordan Super Fly, snapback cap, dress socks and matching Air Jordan socks. Limited to only 23 pairs, the packs will be auctioned from July 6 via Undertow Design.

New Balance 574 ‘Light Blue’
After giving you a look at the New Balance US574 ‘4th of July‘ pack, we give you another glimpse of yet another solid 574 color. This Spring/Summer 2012 season saw NB make use of a really fantastic looking denim blue colorway found on a 996, 998 and 1300. Although this is not the exact same blue color, it still reminded us of the DB colorway. This light blue 574 also features a suede and mesh upper, and it’s highlighted by light grey accents.
These appear to be sold out at Kith, but we’re sure you will find some luck at other NB retailers.

Swiss watch maker Romain Jerome has released another ‘Space Invaders’ watch, this time around in collaboration with colette. Last year, RJ released the same watch in two different colors with the characters from the iconic video game in white and multi-color, but this latest version of the watch being done with the Parisian retailer, their trademark blue has been utilized here.

Woei x Asics Gel Lyte 3 ‘Cervidae’
In honour of the 5th Anniversary of Woei ‘Patta’s et Pret a Porter’, Woei and Asics have come together to take on the Gel Lyte III, the most popular sneaker in the Asics lifestyle range.
To spice things up a little bit, they did some remodelling on the shoe, replacing the standard upper eyelets with metal trail hooks, adding to the feel of the great European outdoors. Finishing touches include zig-zag stitching on the toebox, and a little pop of 3M here and there, to add something special to this all new color palette.
Out of appreciation for their support, especially on purchasing this limited iconic edition, Woei and Asics will give the fans a unique experience by welcoming them on the 23rd of June into a ‘one day only’ outdoor-inspired store takeover. The first 100 customers in-line will also be rewarded with a special pack that includes a tee and a customised Woei shoebox. MITA X ADIDAS CAMPUS 80S
Earlier this week, we debuted images of the Mita x adidas Campus 80s Black/University Red. Shoegallery of Miami unveiled a second colorway of this adidas Originals model. A dark red suede mainstay covers the majority of the upper, while accents of white contribute a contrasting tone to the three-stripe logos and heel tabs. Pre-stained midsoles finish off this pair, which can now be purchased at select adidas retailers.
PREMIER X NIKE SB DUNK LOW RELEASE DETAILS
Those of you eagerly anticipating the Premier x Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration can finally mark their calendars today. Sneakerheads can buy them from various retailers. But on April 28th, the exclusive version will only be sold at the Premier store in Michigan. Those specific pairs will be packaged with custom insoles, as well as three sets of extra laces. Nibwaakaawin X PENDLETON X VANS – “2012 All Nations Skate Jam” Pack
In support of this year’s All Nations Skate Jam, an annual celebration of Native American culture and its contemporary youth movement, its organizer, Nibwaakaawin, along with lead skate sponsor VANS, created a special footwear collection for the event. A fifth installment of its kind, the collection comprises of the VANS Classic Slip-On, VANS Old Skool, and last but not least, VANS SK8-Hi. Each style comes purple or red patterns and highlights another Native American institution, the PENDLETON Chief Joseph Pattern Blanket. Suggested retail price starts at $65 for Classic Slip-On, $70 for Old Skool, and $75 for SK8-Hi. There will also be a pair of Old Skool V in youth sizes for $50. All to be available on April 28th and 29th at the 2012 All Nations Skate Jam in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Proceeds from sales will go to benefit Nibwaakaawin, a not-for-profit organization aiming to empower Native American youths through skateboarding and other activities.

Offspring x Converse ‘Trade Craft’ Pack
Following on from the success of their Clean Crafted pack, Offspring have once again teamed up with Converse to bring us the Trade Craft concept. The use of the zig zag stitch on the upper gives you the look and feel that this shoe as been completely deconstructed and tailored back together with a needle and thread.
